Practice Pages

practice page Workbook Core Pages

The practice pages of the workbook provide the primary means for study. Key information is provided at the left side, and the student practices writing the kanji in practice squares at the right side.

Each practice page presents 20 characters. The characters are ordered for the entire grade level in the Japanese 50-on order (identical to hiragana order).

A companion stroke order page is placed opposite the first practice page for a set, enabling easy reference of correct stroke order before writing a character.

Each workbook set includes 3 practice pages and 1 stroke order page. With 9 practice squares on each practice page, this enables 27 separate review sessions for each character.

Hiragana and katakana practice pages are also provided so students can review these syllabaries.

Cover Kanji Information

All kanji information is clear and effective. Readings are given in hiragana to reenforce Japanese interaction. The frequency number gives an idea of the relative importance of the character.
