Kanji Learning Today: Workbook 1 provides a full index. This allows a student to quickly locate at which set a particular kanji character is presented by the workbook.

The index gives all major on and kun readings for each character in the workbook.

Separate columns show the kanji, the reading, the type of reading (on or kun), the meaning, and the set. As with the practice pages, the readings are given in hiragana to reenforce Japanese interaction.

All index entries are ordered by Japanese 50-on order. This provides good practice so that students will be prepared to locate words in Japanese dictionaries that present entries by 50-on order.
